The project grew out of research by founder James Diebel during his studies at Stanford University, where he worked on what became Vector Magic, the company’s first website. Jacob Norda, a software engineer with experience at various tech companies, joined the project. Orna Kretchmer, with a background in Biology and Molecular Biology, joined Cedar Lake Ventures in 2013, along with Jonathan Kretchmer, who studied Music Composition.
