What is Swirl?

Swirl is an open-source enterprise search tool that queries multiple enterprise applications and websites at once with a single search. It uses AI and large language models to return relevant results and works with your existing security setup to keep information protected.

Beyond search, Swirl can enrich data, analyze entities, and unify unstructured data for content curation, data science, and machine learning. It can blend or improve generative AI results by drawing on other data sources, and it delivers data to AI applications in real time, reducing data silos.

Swirl comes in two editions: a free, open-source Community version, and an enterprise version hosted on Microsoft Azure that adds connectors for enterprise systems, built-in analytics, and support for existing security measures.

Who created Swirl?

Swirl was founded by Sid Probstein. The company is based in Waltham, Massachusetts, and builds AI-powered infrastructure solutions. Its goal is to boost productivity by integrating a company’s data into a comprehensive knowledge graph, helping organizations get more from their data.
