Simply News

What is Simply News?

Simply News is an AI-powered platform that produces podcast-style news discussions. AI agents handle the workflow end to end: sorting through news sources, generating story pitches, deciding what is relevant, and writing scripts. The goal is to cut through noise and bias by delivering clear updates with visible sources.

Coverage spans technology, science, politics, economics, startups, finance, cryptocurrency, commercial real estate, space, Mars, human interest stories, and entertainment. You can also request custom stations tailored to your interests.

The platform does not fact-check every article itself. Instead, it builds on existing journalistic work and provides citations for the content it features. Simply News is explicit that AI is there to assist journalists, not replace them.

Who created Simply News?

Simply News was developed by a team of AI researchers at Qurrent. The mission was to deliver straightforward daily news updates across a range of subjects by coordinating multiple AI agents through the Qurrent framework.

You can listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. For details or collaboration inquiries, reach out to [email protected].

How it works

Each podcast category relies on a pipeline of specialized AI agents:

• The Sorter scans news sources and filters articles to find relevant stories for the category.
• The Pitcher crafts story pitches from the selected articles.
• The Judge evaluates pitches and makes editorial decisions about what gets covered.
• The Writer drafts the scripts for each episode.

Why listeners use it

• Daily digests — stay current by listening on the go.
• Custom stations — request coverage built around your specific interests.
• Transparent sourcing — citations are provided for featured content.
