What is Le Chat by Mistral AI?

Le Chat is Mistral AI’s chatbot, giving direct access to the company’s language models. It supports tasks ranging from casual conversation to professional work like writing code and analyzing data, and it handles multiple languages. Mistral AI offers several models, each suited to specific tasks, and the tool is in beta, with development shaped by user feedback.

Getting Started

Sign up at chat.mistral.ai with an email address, or by linking a Google or Microsoft account, then verify your email. Mobile apps are available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

The interface is a standard chat layout with a message bar at the bottom. You can edit sent messages via the pencil icon, and Le Chat retains conversation context across a session. Responses can be rated with thumbs up/down (with optional feedback), regenerated, copied, or shared via a generated link.

Click the model icon at the bottom of the chat screen to select the model that fits your task:
