What is Khoj AI?

Khoj AI is an open-source personal AI assistant built as a desktop application. It searches through and interacts with your notes, documents, and images, learning from your content to help with decisions. Because it is open source, it is free to use and can be customized.

Who created Khoj AI?

Khoj was created by Debanjum Singh Solanky and Saba Imran, who set out to make AI tools more accessible by giving users a personal copilot for searching and interacting with their own notes, documents, and images.

Getting started

Install the server on your computer and index your notes, documents, and images using offline search models. You can then query Khoj in natural language through Emacs, Obsidian, or your web browser, and it finds relevant data without an internet connection. Ask it to extract answers, summarize information, or generate content based on your personal data. For extra privacy and full control over your data, self-host Khoj. Feedback and feature suggestions are shared with the community on Discord and GitHub.
