PhotoGuard AI implements two types of protection:

• Simple PhotoGuard: attacks the conditioning mechanism of diffusion models, modifying the starting image so the model focuses only on the text prompt provided.
• Complex PhotoGuard: disrupts the entire diffusion process from start to finish by making small, iterative changes to the original image. This method affects four different denoising steps, impacting how the diffusion process plays out.

Using these methods, PhotoGuard AI makes images immune to direct editing by generative models, offering a way to protect work from unwanted manipulation.
