What is FixPix?

FixPix is an AI-powered image processing application for Windows and macOS. It works as a collection of specialized tools — similar to plugins — that handle tasks such as improving photo quality, applying filters, restoring old pictures, and creating artistic effects.

Its capabilities include colorizing black-and-white photos (with three different colorization methods), upscaling low-resolution images through super-resolution, style transfer, cartoon and anime transformations, facial feature enhancement, and monochrome art conversion. It can also generate or modify images from instructions, fill in or extend parts of a picture (inpainting and outpainting), and remove backgrounds to isolate subjects. For organization, it offers fast image browsing with bookmarks for saving favorite folders, even in large collections.

Developers can build their own plugins using FixPix’s adaptable API and integrate custom tools directly into the software.
