What is CypherChat?

CypherChat is AskCyph™ LITE, an AI chatbot from Cypher Tech Inc. that runs an AI model directly in your web browser. Because the model runs locally on your device, no data is sent over the internet, and your questions stay private. The project’s goal is to run AI capabilities on users’ own devices rather than in the cloud.

AskCyph™ LITE is still experimental, so responses may occasionally be inaccurate, though the team continues to improve it.

Models and moderation

AskCyph™ LITE offers two Lite Models:

• BASIC — requires at least 4GB of free RAM
• ADVANCED — requires at least 8GB of free RAM and covers a broader range of topics

Because everything runs locally, moderation is handled on your end, and you can adjust the level to your preference.
