Ambiki

What is Ambiki?

Ambiki is a documentation tool for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). It transcribes therapy sessions, writes visit notes, analyzes pronunciation errors, tracks progress, plans future sessions, creates parent-friendly summaries, and links to relevant research.

Sessions are captured with a HIPAA-compliant recorder. The system automatically transcribes audio, identifies speakers, timestamps text, and analyzes pronunciation of key words and phrases at the phoneme level. From there, it generates transcripts, error reports, visit notes, and session plans linked to patient goals. Progress data appears in progress charts and articulation charts, and “MVP Reels” automatically highlight patient progress in short video clips.

Limitations: Ambiki is designed for one-on-one sessions and currently supports English only. It works best with a strong Wi-Fi connection and a good microphone, does not support different dialects or group sessions, and has no built-in benchmark for error scoring.

Who created Ambiki?

Ambiki started in a private practice in Tennessee and is built by a team of clinicians and healthcare-focused developers. Its Tenalog product automates SLP documentation with transcription, error analysis, progress tracking, session planning, and parent-friendly summaries. The broader goal is to bring advanced technology to SLPs, occupational therapists (OTs), and physical therapists (PTs).
