TrueBees is a system developed by U-Hopper in collaboration with researchers from the University of Trento. Its purpose is to tackle the spread of AI-generated images across social media. It combines AI, digital image forensics, and blockchain technology to validate the authenticity of user-generated visual content, with a particular focus on detecting synthetic face images — at a 97.99% accuracy rate. Built for media professionals and law firms, it offers deepfake detection, API integration, blockchain security, and solutions tailored to different industries.

Who created Truebees?

TrueBees was started in 2022 by U-Hopper, a deep-tech SME, together with researchers from the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Trento. The company was founded specifically to combat the spread of AI-generated images on social networks. Development was supported by the TruBlo project, an EU-funded initiative under the Next Generation Internet (NGI) program.
