What Is Thisstreetviewdoesnotexist?

“This Street View Does Not Exist” is a website that lives up to its name: it showcases street view images that aren’t real. Following the concept of “This Person Does Not Exist,” it displays AI-generated, entirely fictional street scenes that you can explore directly in your browser.

Who’s Behind It?

The project was created by @lemiffe, who handles development along with the maps and images. Contributors include @pjcr (maps and images), @offeringofpie (bug fixes in the Svelte code), and @aniulyy (beta testing). The project was inspired by GeoGuessr and DALL-E 2 (OpenAI).

How It Works

Open the site in your browser and you’ll see a virtual street view image of a place that doesn’t exist. Pan, zoom, and rotate using the on-screen controls, or click and drag to change your view. To see a different randomly generated street scene, refresh the page or click the “New Image” button.

It’s a simple way to explore imaginary street scenes for fun or creative inspiration.
