It was created by arfa using nVidia’s StyleGAN2 architecture, trained on a dataset of about 55,000 SFW images sourced from e621.net, with ponies and scalies specifically excluded from training. Faces are cropped and aligned using a custom YOLOv3 network so the portraits look like faces.

The site’s purpose is simple: explore unique, AI-created furry characters. The images are AI-generated and no one claims legal ownership over them, but the site encourages responsible use. If you create art inspired by the generated characters, the site owner welcomes you to share it.

Who’s Behind It?

The project was built by arfa. Beyond the core setup, the training process involved:

• Faces cropped and aligned with a custom YOLOv3 network
• Training for 33 days on a TPUv3-32 pod
• Final images denoised with Waifu2x
