Snipo

What is Snipo?

Snipo is a free browser extension for taking video notes directly in Notion. It works with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, letting you capture specific moments with timestamps, write notes as you watch, and screenshot key visuals such as charts, graphs, or slides. Snipo also generates a full transcript of each video, making the content searchable and easy to reference later.

The built-in AI flashcard maker creates flashcards from learning videos or webpages. Cards can be saved into custom decks and exported to Anki with one click. Snipo syncs YouTube playlists or entire courses into your Notion notes, and keyboard shortcuts let you navigate and take notes without leaving Notion or the keyboard.

Who created Snipo?

Snipo was developed by a team in Kyiv, Ukraine. It has grown to more than 10,000 users, with endorsements from organizations including IBM, Intel, Samsung, Harvard University, and Stanford University.

Key takeaways

Snipo combines timestamped note-taking, screenshots, transcripts, AI flashcards, and Notion/Anki integration in one free extension. It is a practical option for students and self-learners who want their video notes organized in Notion.
