What Was Revel?

Revel was a platform for collecting, trading, and minting personal media as digital trading cards — often described as a digital take on baseball cards. The service has since shut down and is no longer operational.

The core concept was “Personal Trading Cards”: dynamic, personalized cards representing media from friends and favorite creators. Users collected assets, traded them to build collections, and grew their value through curation, with the option to cash out. Collecting a creator’s media also served as a way to support them. The platform ran special events such as the Joker AirDrop and offered bonus cards for unique creator contributions.

How Did It Work?

Revel’s mechanics centered on four key actions:

1. Collect from creators: Gathering three assets from a single creator — one common, one rare, and one unique — let you lock them into a Series to receive Harvest assets.
2. Mint your collection: After collecting initial assets, you could mint them to obtain more assets to trade.
3. Get collected: When others collected your assets, you unlocked the ability to mint more.
4. Grow your net worth: Trading wisely and building your collection increased your standing on the platform.

Trust and Accessibility

Revel was available through an app and published clear policies — a Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Community Content Guidelines — to maintain a safe environment for both creators and collectors.
