NewsDeck

What is NewsDeck?

NewsDeck, built by Onesub, is an AI-powered newsreader designed to analyze, connect, and filter news from a wide range of publishers, giving you a real-time view of events worldwide. It can track news related to over 500,000 topics, people, companies, and countries.

With NewsDeck you can:

• Filter news from many different sources
• Follow how a story develops over time
• See how different outlets report on the same story
• Understand how news is being framed or characterized
• Stream a continuous feed of news about topics you care about

The team emphasizes transparency and ethical AI: they are open about their company values, finances, and how their AI makes decisions, and they actively encourage user feedback to improve the tool.

Who created NewsDeck?

NewsDeck was created by Laura, Jason, and Jim, a small team at Onesub. It launched on October 31, 2022. Their goal is to change how people consume news using OneSub’s newsreader AI technology, with a strong commitment to openness, ethical AI practices, and involving users in development.

Limitations

Because NewsDeck is built by a small team, support may not be immediate. Other limitations include:

• Limited filter customization
• No mobile app yet
• No offline mode
• No multi-language support
• Reliance on publishers for its data

Who is NewsDeck for?

NewsDeck is aimed at professionals and journalists who need to keep up with the global news cycle, monitor coverage of specific people, companies, or countries, and trace how stories unfold across publishers.
