What is Micropay?

Micropay is a payment solution created by Dillion and Haseab. It was built to pay for OpenAI’s Dalle-2 text-to-image generator on a per-use basis. Payments run over the Lightning Network, which keeps usage anonymous and removes the need to prepay for a bundle of credits.

Traditional credit cards handle tiny payments poorly because processing fees are too high. The Lightning Network, built on Bitcoin, makes instant, low-fee microtransactions possible even at large scale. Micropay works like a vending machine for software: a simple, accessible way to pay for a service exactly when you need it.

Getting started
