What is Legends?

Legends Lab is a non-profit organization focused on making programs that help assess and build confidence in children more widely known and accessible. Their team brings together folks with backgrounds in child development, education, design, and various creative areas. They’re really tackling the issue of declining confidence in kids, pointing out just how crucial confidence is for children in so many parts of their lives. Importantly, they emphasize that confidence isn’t something you’re just born with; it’s something that can absolutely be learned and nurtured over time.

Who created Legends?

Legends Lab was founded by a group of experts, including Fish Stark, Dr. Brian Burkhard, Marisa Polansky, Analía Del Bosque, Danielle Sitzman, and Sue Wasiolek. Fish Stark, who’s a child development expert, actually leads the program and curriculum development. He’s got a ton of experience with youth leadership programs all over the world. Dr. Brian Burkhard, who holds a PhD in child development, is in charge of all the research and evaluation work. Marisa Polansky and Analía Del Bosque lend their skills to content creation and managing the programs. On top of that, Danielle Sitzman heads up the design side of things, and Sue Wasiolek serves as the Executive Director. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as the Dean of Students at Duke University.
